Sweet figs, wholesome oats, sesame, gentle spice and Manuka Active Honey make this tea-time treat, a little good fortune in every bite.

Ingredients

1¼ cups (120g) rolled oats

1 cup (150g) chopped dried figs

½ cup (50g) ground almonds

2 teaspoons ground cardamom

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon ground ginger

¼ teaspoon sea salt

1/3 cup (100g) Barnes Naturals Manuka Active Honey MGO 100+

1/3 cup (50g) toasted sesame seeds, or a combination of white and black sesame seeds

Method

Combine the ingredients. Place the oats, figs, almonds, spices and salt in a mixing bowl. Mix through the Manuka Active Honey and then use hands to work together well.

Assemble and garnish. Roll tablespoonful amounts into balls, and roll in sesame seeds to coat.

Store. Keep fresh by storing in an airtight container until required.
